Joining the Circus

Hey guys, thanks to all of my loyal readers as well as all of the new people who have recently taken to reading my blog! Unfortunately, this will be my last blog post as I've recently joined a traveling circus and thus will no longer be continuing with this blog. It's been a fun few months and I've really enjoyed writing, creating recipes and sharing things but my true passion has always been contorting myself into different shapes. By joining this new troupe I will finally be able to live out my life long fantasy of being a traveling performer. I thank you all for your support and loyalty and I leave you all with a few beautiful circus pictures!

Red Stripe Beer, Hooray Beer!

So the BF and I just discovered the greatness that is Red Stripe Beer commercials. We were practically rolling off the bed with laughter (we don't have much seating options in out apartment...) and I thought I'd share them with you guys.

Candies and Cupcakes

My sweet tooth is really acting up today and it probably doesn't help that I just discovered this amazing website/blog! They're mainly a cupcake decorating supply shop but they also have a blog which is pretty neat and their stuff is quite cheap!

I want these button molds so bad! I want to make pretty chocolate buttons, but alas I do not have the money for such an item at the present, so I'll just admire the pictures.

They also have these really cute Cupcake Wrappers!

Did I mention that they have neat recipes too? I'm gonna make some of these Alice themed Shortbread Mushrooms later in the week! Hopefully this shortbread recipe won't end in disaster like my shortbread buttons which landed me with a mangled finger.

Alice in TeaLand

I made this bracelet a few weeks ago after being inspired by some Alice goodness but have yet to put it up in my Etsy shop because I find it so pretty.

What do you guys think? Should I put it up or keep it?

Injury and Updates

Hey everyone! So I finally got around to fixing up my Etsy button on left side panel as you can see and I'm still working on making a few Rock, Paper, Knit blog buttons which will hopefully be up and running sometime this week.

I might be bit slow in getting things done because I injured my finger pretty badly yesterday while making shortbread button cookies. Those hand mixers can be a bitch...

So unfortunately there won't be a recipe how-to on those anytime soon, but luckily no blood got into my delicious batter, so I still got to make regular shortbread cookies but I think button shaped would have made them taste even better; just a theory.

I'll be adding a few new items to the shop, hopefully sometime in the afternoon, but definitely check it out! I have a pair of easter themed cupcake earrings for sale!

Since I won't be able to make new jewelry items for a bit, I've been thinking of adding some knitted items to the store, what do you guys think? Specifically: arm and leg warmers as well as a few ideas that have been running through my head.

Out of curiosity, have any of you guys ever gotten stitches or really mangled something? What was your experience like?

I'm taking a sick day and staying in bed with my laptop and bandaged finger until my nurse gets back, aka David.
