Just some pretty things to brighten your day. As mentioned in my last post, I'll be quite busy for the next little while. I'll probably post a few articles like this one every now and then when I have a few minutes but there won't be any recipes or anything of the sort for a little bit until it all dies down.

Guess what I'm making...
I'm currently over flowing with personal projects as well as school work and I'm starting to find it hard to breathe! I'm currently attempting to get my film organized so that I can shoot it next week as well as maintain my Etsy store, I have a few personal projects on the go, my blog and tons of school work!
I'm starting to run low on time for the school work stuff so I might be slightly M.I.A for the next little bit, but I'll try and keep you guys updated on some stuff.
The blog buttons won't be ready for a while, I don't even have time to think about them.
Did I mention that I'm moving at the end of May? Just an other thing to add to my ever growing list of things.
During the little spare time that I have, I've been trying to make an apron with some scrap material, so I'll try and keep you guys update on that too! It's gonna be so cute; I even made my own buttons for it and it's gonna have a bunch of pockets so that I can put my ipod or cell phone in it...
Here's some apron love.

Strawberry Frozen Yogurt
So by now you've probably realized that the whole circus thing was an april fools joke, but if you haven't: APRIL FOOLS! I had loads of fun writing that out! Plus I pulled a couple of pranks on Dave; his reaction was greatness. Did you do anything special for the 1st of April?
Anywho, onto this week's recipe! I love frozen yogurt, frankly who doesn't? It's a yummy cold treat without the heavy ice cream part; not that I have anything against ice cream, trust me, I love it! However, I had some overly ripe strawberries sitting in my fridge and a container of plain greek yogurt that was on the edge of expiring; that's when I had a moment of clarity. "Frozen yogurt is what I shall make!" I declared out loud in my empty kitchen...
Anyway, it's super easy to make and takes no time at all; best of all: it's delicious!
Strawberry Frozen Yogurt
Ingredients
-Fresh or frozen strawberries (or even mixed berries, what ever flavour you want really)
-A container of plain yogurt (greek or 3%)
-4-5 tbs of honey
-1 tsp of vanilla
First off, if you're using fresh berries: WASH THEM!
While I was rinsing mine, I came across one of the biggest strawberries I had ever seen!

That is, until I saw this gigantor a few minutes later; it looked like 6 or 7 strawberries had mutated together to form one super strawberry and it was yummy.
Next chop up your berries so that they are easier to mash later on.Transfer your yogurt into a large mixing bowl and set aside for later but don't throw away the container, you'll need it to store your frozen yogurt. Yah for reusing!
Put you strawberries or fruit in a medium pot and cook on medium heat until they start to heat up (approximately 2 minutes). You'll notice I didn't put a measurement on the fruit, that's because you can put as little or as many as you want; it all depends on how fruity you want it to be. I had about a cup of chopped strawberries and then decided that it wasn't enough so I added about a cup of mixed frozen berries in the cooking process.
Then add your honey (for a bit of all natural sugar) and your vanilla; mix and let it gently simmer for about an other 2 minutes. Then take out your trusty ol' potato masher and mash away but be careful as strawberries stain and like to splash everywhere. Remove from heat and let it cool down for about 10 minutes. Next, drain out any excess liquid from the bowl containing your yogurt; once that's done transfer your fruit into the yogurt bowl and mix until all incorporated.
Transfer the mixture to a freezer safe bowl or container.
Put in the freezer for at least an hour or until it starts to freeze up.
Then you need to take it out and break it apart with a spoon and basically just mix it about to get rid of the ice crystals. Put it back in the freezer and repeat this process at least 2 more times.
Once that's done, put it back into the yogurt container and store in the freezer for a later date and eat the rest!
Yah! Enjoy your yogurt-y goodness!
